Issue d'un croisement en 1969 de\u00a0<\/span><i><span dir=\"auto\">L. indica<\/span><\/i><span dir=\"auto\">\u00a0\u2018Dark Red\u2019 \u00d7 (\u00a0<\/span><i><span dir=\"auto\">L. indica<\/span><\/i><span dir=\"auto\">\u00a0\u00d7\u00a0<\/span><i><span dir=\"auto\">L. fauriei<\/span><\/i><span dir=\"auto\">\u00a0plant) ; s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 en 1973 ; introduit en 1987 par l'US National Arboretum ; NA 54976 ; PI 499822. Nom enregistr\u00e9 le 1er mai 1992.
