Laurus azorica x nobilis ‘Saratoga’
(United States of America, before 1995)
This American cultivar, like L. ‘Dunloe Castle’, considered a hybrid between L. azorica and L. nobilis. ‘Saratoga’ has a more tree-like habit than L. nobilis. The leaves are glossy dark green, broadly ovate (wider than in L. nobilis) and with an almost uncorrugated edge. When bruised, the leaves spread a sweeter aroma than L. nobilis.
